And we're finished!

While Craig and I worked the day away, Ken and Ginger worked to finish up the nursery.  When we arrived home the walls were complete, everything was moved out and the floors had been vacuumed.  After going to dinner to celebrate we came home and put together the crib.  Then got the bedding all set brought up the rocking chair and put everything in its place.  The room looks beautiful and completely exceeds my expectations.  Now June just needs to hurry up and get here so that baby girl can arrive and enjoy her beautiful nursery.

Day Three and counting...

Today was a busy day with everyone working hard (no time to go to Bellevue Square for us girls).  I had to run to Home Depot for the hundredth time to return some damaged boards and get some new ones, while Ginger finished painting the final package of molding and the boys continued putting up the bead board and started the chair rail.  Late this afternoon they finally finished installing it all and then it was time to start caulking and touching up.  While this was going on I was working on putting together the dresser, making peanut butter cupcakes with chocolate frosting and guacamole and tortilla soup for dinner.  It is after 8:00 and I'm finally getting my feet up (my back is KILLING me) while they continue to put some finishing touches to the corners and bead board paint.  Hopefully tomorrow we can clear out the room, get the chandelier hung and the furniture in there.

Day Two of Nursery Makeover

After a hearty breakfast of baked breakfast burritos and a trip to Home Depot for an air compressor the boys were ready to get started with putting up the molding and bead board.  They worked the day away and were ready to call it a day around 8pm.  Check out their progress!

The first piece is in place.

Bottom molding is done.

Working together.

Trying to figure out how to cut around the electrical outlet.
The long wall has begun.

That darn window makes things tricky.

The long wall is complete, minus the top molding.

More of the long wall.

Craig working hard around that window.

Making cuts.

While the boys worked hard Ginger and I took off to run some errands in order to stay out of their way.  We headed to Target to look for a curtain rod and crib mattress (no luck on the mattress) and then down to Sugar Babies to have a look and grab the crib bedding.  We then decided to head to Babies R Us to get the mattress since we'd struck out at Target.  We are bound and determined to have the nursery done by the end of next week!

The Nursery Makeover has Begun!

Last night my in-laws arrived to begin the nursery makeover.  Today while finishing up my conferences they removed the modeling, taped the room and got two coats of paint on the walls.  It looks beautiful already.  Can't wait for tomorrow when they start to get the white bead board up on the wall!  I am so grateful for such wonderful in-laws!

26 week belly pics

So it has been a while since we've had a moment to take some belly pics but I know that it has grown and changed and my family has been bugging me to get more pics posted.  So yesterday Craig took a few new pics of my belly at 26 weeks.  So here it is...
